Holcombe Waller is a Portland-based singer, composer and performing artist who composes for concerts, film, dance as well as for his own interdisciplinary performance projects. He is known for his arresting, elastic vocals and subtle but knife-twisting folk and pop songwriting that dances with the elements around themes of nostalgia, intimacy and the search for spiritual meaning. Over a career spanning thirteen years, Waller has self-released five albums on his own label, has toured three interdisciplinary performances internationally, and has ventured numerous collaborations with film and dance makers. He is currently generating a new album of solo work, a new theatrical concert titled “Wayfinders,” and a community-oriented LGBT Requiem Mass in memory of LGBT persecuted in the name of religion.
